Testimonials

Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, Canada
I want to say thank you to the board, staff and volunteers of Fondation Sylvenie Lindor for all that you have done and continue to do for young Black Francophones.
Our youth are our future leaders and citizens. Every year, the amazing folks at Sylvenie Lindor serve hundreds of Black Francophone youth, through soccer clubs, bilingual job fairs, and youth forums. These services and supports have done so much to help break down barriers and empower and uplift young people so they can reach their full potential.
Once again, I want to commend the amazing Sylvenie Lindor team. You’re all absolute champions, and I wish you continued success in everything you do.

The Hon. Pierre Poilievre, P.C., M.P.
On behalf of Canada’s common sense Conservatives, I am pleased to offer my best wishes to the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation as you come together for the 2023 Forum & Integration Gala Awards.
Events like this are always full of incredible joy, inspiring people with a spirit of hope and fellowship. They showcase the blessings our country receives when young people are empowered to learn new skills and take on the challenges in front of them.

Mr. Stewart KIFF
President, Solstice Public Affairs
The Sylvenie Lindor Foundation team is dedicated to the development and economic integration of young French-speaking Blacks in the Greater Toronto Area. This is important work that contributes to the well-being of our community. “Working with the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation is a pleasure, they are thoughtful and well organized.”

I joined the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation as an ambassador in February 2020 a few months before the pandemic. I received assistance from the foundation during the pandemic and I would like to thank the founder, Amikley Fontaine who has been a great support during the difficult times when I caught covid-19. Being part of the Foundation exposes me to Canadian cultures and facilitates my integration in Toronto. The Foundation gave me the opportunity to give back to the community because I had to do activities with the foundation, such as distributing food to the homeless, attending awareness conferences, etc. I am very happy to have been an ambassador, I will always answer the call of the Foundation
Keep this momentum, we need it, we need this humanity that you transmit

Mr. Pierre Eric MANI

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a speaker at two Forums of the Sylvenie Lindor foundation. As I recall the events of 2016, when the president and I fortuitously met at a workplace, I am enthusiastic to address my warm congratulations to the foundation. I witnessed the challenges you have gone through to earn your place in the complex world of the NGOs, and I have seen the passion and the courage of this team to hold tight and believe, giving hope, calling on young people and meeting with them, for rich exchanges about business, environment, culture and of course our history. I can’t wait to see more from this foundation as you continue to expand and build home among young people. I want to say a personal thank you to the president, a great friend of mine, for the countless opportunities and the hard work you do for us.

I would like to begin by expressing my gratitude to the team at the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation for their work and achievements over the years in serving the Toronto community. I was introduced to the Foundation by Amikley Fontaine who sought out my graphic design skills for their print materials. I have been working and participating in the Foundation for a few years now.
I am grateful for the opportunity to help their message reach those in need, especially youth throughout Toronto. I am also happy to see how the Foundation continues to grow, break down barriers and reach more people in the community.
I wish the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation family continued tireless and heartfelt work to serve, support and bring the community together. May they continue to provide opportunities for youth

Mr. Briner Fontaine
Special Advisor of FSLINDOR
The Sylvenie Lindor Foundation is the most ultimate way to honor and live the legacy of my late Mother Sylvenie L. Fontaine. We continue to do what she would have asked us to do if she were alive. I am very happy with the work we are able to do here in Canada with young people from minority communities.
In 2021 we launched the Francisque Fontaine Fund (FFF) in Haiti with the Women Entrepreneurs project which allows us to subsidize small businesses to 32 women and the “Toronto Solidarity Project” with children in Haiti that we have been running since 2014 helps us to sponsor 50 children. All this allows us to stay closer to the rural community of Jérémie by serving the most vulnerable

The Sylvenie Lindor Foundation is based in Toronto. It is a Foundation that pays special attention to young Franco-Torontians of Haitian, Caribbean, African and other origins to integrate into Canadian society. It organizes for and with young people various cultural and sporting events and excursions to help them in their efforts to acclimatize to the country. In this Foundation, I am having an experience of extraordinary humanitarian service. Thus, I would like to congratulate Mr. Amikley Fontaine for his leadership, support and advice provided to each young person. As we often say: doing good makes us feel good.

I love being a part of the Sylvenie Lindor foundation. As a feed the homeless coordinator, I had to step outside my comfort zone to take the lead in making sure the job gets done in this project. Helping others & being a role model to the youths in the community is what I love to do. The foundation has helped me do just that and more. We’re all one happy family, helping each other to achieve the goal for the foundation as well as our own personal goals. I am truly grateful!
