Initiative To Feed The Homeless
Our city’s homeless population is one of the most vulnerable to the pandemic. As a result, the Foundation made it a priority to assist this vulnerable population. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been able to provide 4,750 meals, PPE, and other supplies to homeless people on multiple occasions. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the restaurants that prepared and delivered the meals we were able to distribute. We’d also like to thank the volunteers who helped pack the meals and deliver them throughout the city. The homeless people we met while distributing the meals were all so gracious and grateful. We truly felt like we made a difference, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the overwhelming response from the people we were able to reach out to and assist.
Annual dinner with the Homeless Community
Each year, in commemoration of National Francophone Immigration week the Foundation hosts its annual dinner with the homeless community. This important week is about giving back to the community as well as celebrating diversity. We were able to share many gourmet meals with grateful homeless people. We are hosting this dinner to recognize the contribution of French-speaking immigrants to the fabric of our country.
