Amikley Fontaine

Amikley Fontaine
Amikley Fontaine is the Founder of the Fondation Sylvenie Lindor, a non-for-profit organization that He named after His late Mother: Sylvenie Lindor. Amikley serves as well as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, an unpaid position that He has held for over ten years. Mr. Fontaine uses the Foundation as a platform to empower young black Canadians for economic and social integration as well to overcome linguistic barriers. Over the decades, Mr. Fontaine has advocated for having access to services in both official languages, Social Justice for Youth from minority communities and racial equalities.
Amikley has participated in several provincial marches aimed to protect Franco-Ontarian gains, including the University of French Ontario and the Ministry of Francophone Affairs. He continues to participate as well in many national debates. Notably on Francophone Immigration, Racial equality, anti black hate, Systemic Racism, and access to funding for the Black Community.
In 2021, with the funds raised to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake, Amikley launched the Francisque Fontaine Fund benefiting 32 women in the commune of Chambellan with the Women Entrepreneurs program. Since 2019, Amikley has managed the Toronto Youth Action for Change project , a Foundation initiative that builds leadership capacity and entrepreneurship among racialized Canadian youth. He also coordinates the Toronto Solidarity program which is helping 50 children in Haiti since 2014.
Amikley is always seeking a way to give back to the community through civic and community engagement with youth initiative that he describes as interest for national belonging. Then, it is also with integrity and the greatest dedication that he distinguished himself through his Foundation by making the issue of homelessness in Toronto a major social issue. In November 2021, his foundation held the 3rd edition of its dinner for the homeless in Toronto as part of National Francophone Immigration Week 2021 focusing on the theme Une francophonie aux mille couleurs. Just over 700 meals were delivered to shelters and parks in downtown Toronto.
Since the beginning of the global pandemic, Amikley launched two main programs: Feed the homeless Initiative and the Emergency relief for Covid -19 where he came to assistance to Francophone families and the homeless population in Downtown Toronto.
In 2019, in commemoration of Black History Month, Amikley was chosen as one of 25 Black personalities with Outstanding Achievement in Ontario. Me. Fontaine was honored in the “Community Leader” category for his tireless role helping young Black Canadians with his foundation. This Radio Canada initiative pays tribute to black influencers in the province in all areas, such as: politics, community, education, media. In 2022, Amikley was the Laureate of the Ontario Francophonie in the « FRANCOPHONE » Categorie. The Ontario Francophonie Award was established in 2006 by the Government of Ontario. The awards recognize the significant contributions winners have made to the vitality of the francophone community in the province.
Amikley Fontaine holds bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy, Law, Social Thought and Sociology.

Christopher Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan
Christopher A. Sullivan is an associate practicing in the Corporate Group. His practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities, banking and general corporate and commercial law.
Christopher holds a master’s degree in legal theory and other bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Economics. A native of Toronto, he is involved with several charitable endeavours around the city. Through his friendship with Amikley Fontaine, he has become more involved with the foundation over the past few years. Christopher Serves as Vice-President and Directors of Communications. He has a great sense of the needs of the minority communities both here in this city and elsewhere.

M. Emilio François

M. Emilio François
Mr. François is the financial advisor for the Sylvenie Lindor Foundation. His academic background is in Economics and Business Administration. He is actively involved in the Francophone community and works with several other communities in order to advance the interests of the African-Caribbean diaspora in Canada.

Daniel Steinhart
Director
Daniel Steinhart
Daniel Steinhart is a registered social worker in the province of Ontario as well as a certified ESL instructor. Daniel received his master’s in philosophy from York University in 2015. He went on to do a master’s in social work at Yeshiva University in New York City where he graduated in 2019. At York, Daniel worked as a research assistant where his focus was on the philosophies of Descartes and Hume. At Yeshiva University, Daniel completed two internships at a Seniors Center in Harlem and a high-school in The Bronx respectively. Daniel got his ESL certification while abroad in Thailand and had the opportunity to work at a public school in Bangkok where he taught high-school students. Daniel also works as a one-on-one tutor and is an essay writing specialist. He has worked with many students at the high-school and university level with the goal of helping them improve their writing.
Daniel is a native of Toronto where he currently resides. He met Amikley Fontaine in 2014 when they were both in undergrad studying philosophy at York University. The two immediately discussed their desire to give back to the community. Daniel was quickly offered the role of General Secretary for the Foundation and embraced the opportunity to help others and fight for social justice. Eight years later, Daniel remains an avid and committed member of the Foundation as he carries out a number of important tasks that help the Foundation thrive and continue to make a strong impact in the community. In his spare time, Daniel loves to travel to different destinations and hopes to continue to have the opportunity to teach English in other countries. He also loves to play tennis, does crossword puzzles and writes screenplays. Daniel believes in a Canada that promotes equality and justice for all and he aims to be active in bringing about this sort of change.

Martine Cephora Micourt

Martine Richard
Martine Joined Fondation Sylvenie Lindor in 2010 as an ambassador and later that year she became event coordinator, volunteer position in which she coordinates and plans various events of the Foundation. Martine holds an associate degree in social Work from college Boreal, and Bachelor degrees in sociology and international studies from York university.

Martine Cephora Micourt est la Fondatrice, Présidente et Directrice Générale de Bethel Better Living, une maison privée pour personnes âgées. À travers BBL, Martine assure les soins de santé, la sécurité et l’environnement des personnes âgées. Martine est également assistante exécutive du pasteur principal de la New Jerusalem Church of God de Toronto.
Martine a rejoint la Fondation Sylvenie Lindor en 2010 en tant qu’ambassadrice et, plus tard cette année-là, elle est devenue coordinatrice des événements, poste bénévole dans lequel elle coordonne et planifie divers événements de la Fondation. Martine est titulaire d’un diplôme d’associé en travail social du collège Boréal et des baccalauréats en sociologie et en études internationales de l’université de York.
